Administrative / Biographical history
Frank Cain began his career in the Duntroon Military College in 1984, teaching in military history. He taught Australian History at the University of New South Wales in Canberra, Australia where he also taught courses on Intelligence History, the History of Australian Defence and Foreign Policy and Strategic Studies. He is the author of numerous journal articles on Intelligence History, the History of the Great Depression in New South Wales, the History of the Impact of Venona on Australian politics and Australia's involvement in the Vietnam War.
His research interests include studies in Australian Military History and the Cold War in Australia and America, Development of British Missile Technology, Labour History including Labor governments in Australia, Intelligence History, Killings in Indonesia 1965, the French Fighting in Vietnam, Perception of Communist Party in China between the Wars
