Administrative / Biographical history

 

Richard Alston was an Australian businessman, politician and barrister. He served as a Liberal Party Senator for Victoria from 1986 – 2004. During the Howard Government he held several ministerial offices. He later served as High Commissioner to the United Kingdom (2005 – 2008) and Federal President of the Liberal Party (2014 – 2017).
