Notes, editorial material and manuscript and typescript drafts for the novel, which was published by Random House Australia, Milsons Point, NSW, 1996. Foster's epic poem The ballad of Erinungarah (1997) was written as a companion piece to this novel. These works form part of a series featuring the character D'Arcy D'Oliveres, together with the novels Dog Rock: a postal pastoral (1985) and The pale blue crochet coathanger cover (1988). Folder 12 is restricted until November 2006.
