Administrative / Biographical history
Elizabeth Von Leven was a Catholic sister in the Society of the Faithful Companions of Jesus. She spent most of her career as a primary and secondary school teacher, retiring as principal of Parish Primary Schools in 1985. After that, she wrote poetry, articles, short fiction and novels for children and adults. She also edited a bi-annual news magazine for her order and edited several publications published internally by the Faithful Companions of Jesus.
Her works include the children's books The Search (1990) and Dawning Point (1991) and the novels Before the Leaves Wither (1993) and Time Inside Out (1994). Her shorter work was published in a range of publications, including Madonna magazine, the school magazine Orbit, and The Month. The Search was translated into Finnish and published as Missä olet, äiti Ly? (1990).
