This collection comprises a one leaf certificate enabling soldiers from the British Auxiliary Legion, who had been prisoners of war to proceed to their respective homes. Given under my hand and seal this 5th day of August 1845, Edward Rushton, Stipendiary Magistrate for the Port and Borough of Liverpool.
