Administrative / Biographical history
Artist Christopher Waddington produced a series of artworks and an exhibition based on themes from Patrick White's novels. He also wrote an article about the writer which was published in the July 1991 of the Journal of Australian literature.

Scope and Content
This collection relates to the artist Christopher Waddington and documents his series of artworks and exhibition inspired by the novels by Patrick White. The material includes correspondence, drawings, paintings and associated papers on themes taken from White's principal works including Voss, Riders in the Chariot, The Tree of Man, The Solid Mandala, The Ham Funeral, The Eye of the Storm, A Fringe of Leaves and the Vivisector. Also included is a copy of an article on Patrick White from the Journal of Australian Literature (July 1991) written by Waddington shortly after the Nobel-prize winning novelist's death.
