Friendly Street Poets are a poetry reading group and publisher in Adelaide. Founded in 1975 by Richard Tipping, Andrew Taylor and Ian Reid, it developed into a monthly event and is still running in 2019. It regularly publishes anthologies of its members' poetry, and starting in 1995 began publishing volumes by individual poets.
Significant poets associated with the Friendly Street Poets include Graham Rowlands, Kevin Pearson, Jenny Boult, Jeff Guess, Kate Llewellyn, and Jan Owen.

Scope and Content
A collection of the organisational papers of the Friendly Street Poets, created principally during the 1980s, but including some material from 1978-9. The material consists of Reviews of the Friendly Street Readers, as well as correspondence and grant applications. The collection also includes some news clippings.
