This is an extraordinary story told from the perspective of an Australian interned as a civilian in war-torn Europe.
Born in Bathurst, Adele became a ballerina, studying in Paris. When war broke out, Adele and her mother travelled to Italy, expecting it to be neutral.
Adele tells the story of her upbringing in Bathurst and Sydney, her study in Paris, and her internment in Italy.
